WORK EXPERIENCE

Academic Experience: Two Community Colleges (Allegheny and Beaver Counties), University of Pittsburgh 1982-2015

• Professor: My duties included developing and teaching Information Technology courses, student advising, preparing grant proposals to secure federal and state funds to establish and maintain IT lab used for teaching/learning. Also, researched, developed, and delivered presentations at national and international conferences.

• Technology Director: Was responsible for planning and managing the budget, supervising the operation, and evaluation of employees in the Technology, Division of the College. The Division consisted of about 50 full time and part-time faculty and support staff with an annual budget of about 8 million dollars.

Business Experience: Co-founded IMA, an Information Management Consulting firm in 1982 and worked there as a part-time Systems Analyst 1982-1994. Continued working as an independent IT consultant 1995-2010, engaged in analysis, design, and implementation of IT systems for small business to increase productivity while decreasing the operating costs.

GOVERNANCE AND COMMUNITY SERVICE

Treviso Bay Coach Home II HOA– VP/Secretary (Jan 2018 - Present): Participate in ensuring that CHII operations are in accordance with its bylaws and its allocated operating budgets. Responsible for publication of CHII Quarterly Reports.

 

Treviso Bay Master HOA Turnover (Jan 2018 – Present):

• Steering Committee – Treasurer: Responsible for AR (collection of the funds generated during the TB Master HOA Turnover Inc fundraising period), recognition of donors at TB Monthly Newsletters and E-blasts, and AP (processing the payments of the invoices submitted by law firms, engineering companies, etc.).

• Communications-IT Committee – Chair: Responsible for analysis and evaluation of TB’s current IT facilities, the design of a new fully integrated TB IT facility. I am currently working with TB Golf Board in development of ONE website for Treviso Bay. I am also currently working with TB Operations Committee on study and recommendation of a more cost-effective communications facility for Treviso Bay.

• Food and Beverage Committee - Member: Studied the current TB Food and Bev software system (IBS) to determine the causes of its frequent software crashes leading to TB members’ dissatisfaction with F&B service.

• Finance Committee - Member: Responsible for the study of TB IT facilities to determine their cost effectiveness.

 

CCBC Society of Faculty – Secretary/Member (1985-2015): Was engaged in contract negotiations between the College’s faculty and the administration, organized monthly SOF members meetings, etc.

 

CCBC Middle State Accreditation Committees – Chair/Member (1993 & 2003): Responsible for the study and evaluation of the teaching/learning facilities used by the College. Also, responsible for the study of how the College had met its stated mission and goals as an educational entity in the County.

 

Pittsburgh Folk Festival – BOD/Member (2001-2015): Participated in planning, budgeting, and overseeing the operation of the organization, as well as organizing annual events which were attended by thousands in Western PA.

My husband and I bought our Treviso Bay home in Fall of 2016 and we have become TB year-rounders since April 2017, after retirement from our 40 years working and living in Pittsburgh PA and Minneapolis MN. I have very much enjoyed serving on TB CHII HOA BOD and TB Master HOA Turnover Committees. I would very much be interested in becoming a part of TB Master HOA BOD to continue serving our Community using my work experience in IT, managing budgets, and overseeing operations of entities within communities.
