The World Cultures Education Consortium of Western PA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization that promotes 'Cultural appreciation and understanding through education' by offering authentic multicultural educational activities to schools and the public."

I started participating in the events organized by this organization in the year 2000.
 

• Iran/Persia Cultural Presenter:

  I attend cultural events at public schools and private schools in the Pittsburgh area to provide students and their teachers with a demonstration of Iranian culture: language, customs, crafts, etc.

• Chair Of Multicultural Education Program:

Annually, I am responsible for planning and arranging the "Around the World in One Day" multicultural educational program and ensuring that it meets the PA curriculum guidelines for multicultural education. This educational program is a joint effort by both Pittsburgh Folk Festival, Inc. and World Cultures Educations Consortium of Western PA.

 

 

• WebMaster and System Administrator:I have been responsible for creating and maintaining user accounts, web design, and web development for this organization since the year 2012.
  
  Last year I started creating web pages for a few of the cultures/countries participating in the "Around the World in One Day" program, using the theme "International Peace and Unity". The links to these webpages were sent to teachers and their students as a preview of Around the World on one Day 2013, with the educational theme of "International Peace and Unity".
