  • Goals, Objectives, and Process of  the Presentation:

During the previous year's World Universities Form conference, at Lisbon, Portugal, I met Dr. Richard Kessner who was attending that conference because of his 2013 best seller book, "Building an Asynchronous Learning Experience: A Practical Approach to Online Course Development".

We started talking about teaching and learning online courses, discussing pros and cons of universty level online courses, and the problems with converting in-ground courses into online courses.

It was at that conference that we decided jointly write and  publish a book providing a systematic approch to converting traditional university level in-ground courses into a successful online courses.

Most of our Summer 2015 was spent writing the book and preparing a presentation about the book at the following year's conference (Eight WUF Conference at Savannah Georgia).

Common Ground Publishing, the publisher of our book, provided us with three different peer reviewers who read and provided us feedback about the first draft of our book. After some revisions, our book was ready to be published by Common Ground Publishing Company.
